What do you say to…
… setting aside the traditional Friday afternoon drinks for a boxing clinic instead?! No drinks at the bar, just diving into the weekend sporty and fresh after a week of work.

For some, it might be an uncomfortable idea: exercising with your colleagues, but why not go for it? It's the perfect chance to get to know your colleagues (truly) in a completely different setting.

“Exercising is not only good for your physical health, but especially for your mental well-being”

Nabila, Team Leader at ContactCare

According to Nabila, exercising goes beyond just staying active. You're often mentally challenged because your body doesn't always do what you expect. That's the moment you get to know and improve yourself better.

Nabila continues enthusiastically: “As a team leader, you encounter a lot. You deal with many different people, each with their own story. But how do you ensure they can continue to work enjoyably and effectively? My experience is that I can manage this a bit better thanks to what I've learned during my kickboxing training.”

“Kickboxing isn't just about kicks and punches. It goes far beyond that. You learn to deal with disappointments, pain, and helplessness: daring to face confrontation and handling setbacks. This, of course, applies to your work as well.”

Nabila, Team Leader (& Kickboxer)

The best place to learn to handle setbacks

Sometimes a deal falls through or you miss a deadline. These are the small and larger disappointments that can sometimes pile up. The trick is to handle them without too much emotion. During kickboxing, you learn to control and manage your emotions. You can make mistakes and become stronger, without significant consequences.

And, what did the rest think of it?

“You get to know each other better and understand each other (even) more.”

“A weekend of sore muscles is not easily forgotten. Plenty of reason to exercise more!”

“As far as I'm concerned, this is worth repeating. In fact, it's much more valuable than socializing over drinks!”

“What an enthusiast Nabila is, I'm never doing this again, right?!”

“Nice to see a different side of your colleagues.”
