The General Data Protection Regulation is, of course, essential reading for all of entrepreneurial Netherlands. Yet, it sometimes still seems to falter. Take the recent example of the GGD, which came into the spotlight negatively due to the coronavirus customer contact centre.
Essential but not necessarily obvious.
Of course, the GGD fundamentally has no bad intentions. After all, they want to help us defeat the pandemic. Still, processing personal data is not something to be taken lightly. Certainly not in our field. Self-determination over privacy data is highly valued in Europe. Something we fully support.
For this very reason, February was dedicated to the GDPR at ContactCare. All our employees were reminded of how it all worked again. Moreover, to see if the knowledge truly stuck, they were tested through our Academy. Naturally, we do this regularly, but with a renewed GDPR training, we are confident that all our staff are aware of all the rules and what to watch out for in their work.
Crowning it all, we asked the legal advisory firm ICT Recht to conduct an assessment of our data processing and privacy. After thorough investigation and weighing every detail, we were awarded the ‘privacy verified’ certificate. You can admire it here. This shows our commitment to doing everything we can to protect the data of our clients and our clients' clients, now and in the future.
Because compliance & GDPR is a consistently relevant topic in customer contact, we have decided to offer this externally to our clients. For this, our Academy uses our own online portal. Does your organisation or team need a refresher? Let our trainer contact you via the quotation form.
