Due to the coronavirus crisis, many businesses are struggling to get packages delivered quickly and on time. Traffic app Flitsmeister has come up with a solution by using users for package delivery.
With the service 'Flitsmeister Pickup’, the company calls on its community of 1.7 million users to deliver packages from retailers to customers.
How does it work?
The local retailer is connected to the community of 1.7 million Flitsmeister users. These users, who are normally alerted to speed cameras, roadworks, and traffic jams, can indicate if they wish to be employed as a courier.
As soon as a retailer has a package ready for delivery, nearby Flitsmeister users receive a notification and can choose to accept it. The delivery meister then collects the package and takes it to the customer. During the journey, the delivery meister shares their location and route with the retailer for live tracking. Once the package is delivered, the Flitsmeister user sends a payment request to the retailer to cover the delivery cost.
The service is initially rolled out locally, with plans to expand it across the Netherlands soon. If you work in Amsterdam and live in Utrecht, why not take a package with you on your way home? This way, the delivery meisters help local retailers by providing faster and more efficient delivery of their products. Moreover, Flitsmeister users can earn a little extra!
Satisfied Customers
Flitsmeister's delivery service can greatly enhance customer satisfaction. Same-day delivery is quite rare, but this makes it possible. Customers receive their orders quickly, efficiently, and in a personal manner. This builds trust between the retailer and the receiver, resulting in a positive customer experience. It's a perfect way to delight customers in the current situation.
