Everyone learns in their own unique way. Are you a hands-on type who loves to experiment? Or are you more of a dreamer who researches everything before starting a course? Do you prefer classroom education or online learning? There are numerous options regarding how, where, and when you prefer to learn.

We ensure that there is a suitable learning method for everyone. We stay ahead by adapting to trends and keeping alert to what the future might bring. The trainers at ContactCare Academy are experts in innovative learning approaches.

“ContactCare takes a different approach compared to most educational departments. We are proud of this and it deserves to be shared.”

Jeroen van der Maas | Trainer ContactCare Academy

A blend of offline and online

Within our Academy, we utilise Blended Learning. We don't aim to be entirely online, as we value personal contact and people-focused learning. That's why we choose a mix of offline and online. This way, you get the best of both worlds, ensuring there’s a suitable learning method for everyone. Online, new staff can start working with online tools from home. They learn about the customers they will assist in just three weeks. Social learning is an essential part and we do this offline: practicing phone calls together at the office.

Blended learning noun • a powerful mix of on- and offline learning. By alternating these forms, learning becomes considerably more effective. Precisely due to the variety, we can make the learning objectives immediately applicable for all participants. Moreover, the online part of the training serves as a handy reference even after the training.

Utilising e-learnings

ContactCare has ventured into the world of e-learning. We have explored how to convey stories as clearly as possible without a narrator. This was necessary as the pandemic accelerated the development of online learning. In a short time, we created our Road to Customer Expert e-learning. We don't convert all our materials to e-learnings, because personal contact holds great value. We use e-learnings as efficiently as possible. And with success! We have already won an award for being one of the most inspiring learning paths. Read more here

Different learning styles

In teaching, it's important to consider different learning styles, such as offering a varied program. When explaining something, you can do it in various ways like texts, tests, videos, and quizzes. In his research, David Kolb provides a clear overview of the types of learners and how they learn best. Learning works differently for everyone, and everyone learns well in a different way.

ContactCare’s Road to Customer Expert considers these styles but ensures that all a customer expert needs to know is covered swiftly. We are well aware that mistakes will be made. That’s not wrong, as learning from mistakes is valuable. After three weeks, new team members fully participate. Why do we do this? Because new staff quickly realise what suits them and what doesn’t. This gives our organisation valuable insight to build upon our material. This way, we get the best out of our staff, and they do what they are best at and enjoy most, according to Jeroen van der Maas.

“What does the future hold? In the realm of learning, so much is possible, like VR classrooms.”

Your own learning path

While it's sometimes challenging to offer all aspects of classroom teaching digitally at present, the future might look very different. For instance, practicing a one-on-one conversation in the same space could be done via VR. As far as we’re concerned, we are moving towards more customised lessons. Are you a dreamer, thinker, doer, or decision-maker? Everyone gets their own learning path. This way, everyone learns swiftly and effectively.
