We look back with pride at the very first edition of Customer on Air, an event completely dedicated to Suriname! On Thursday 7 November, our work café was buzzing with curious clients and other guests who have already taken the step to Suriname, or are considering doing so. Especially for this occasion, Christopher Gits travelled all the way from Suriname to Amersfoort to join Jasper in sharing stories about the rich culture, business opportunities, and employment conditions in this beautiful country.
The program was anything but standard. Instead of PowerPoint slides and formal presentations, we opted for an open, relaxed setting with round tables. This sparked fantastic conversations and insightful discussions at every table, covering topics like culture and language, cost benefits, security and data privacy, and social responsibility. What does it actually mean to give back to the country you do business in? Jasper summed it up beautifully: “Many organisations come to Suriname to gain, but for us, it is just as important to give back. We see offshore outsourcing as a golden opportunity to add real value, especially through Corporate Social Responsibility.”
A highlight of the event was the contribution of Jorick Serto, our Chief Impact. He spoke passionately about the CSR challenges in the Netherlands and the unique opportunities Suriname offers to make a genuine difference. His story truly touched our guests, and it was inspiring to see how deeply this theme resonated with everyone around the table.
Lexter Woodley, our charismatic host, brought extra energy and warmth to the event with his inspiring stories and insights. Keeping formal boundaries aside, he created an inviting space where everyone felt welcome to share and ask questions. Afterwards, guests enjoyed networking and chatting over delicious Surinaamse drinks and snacks. From roti and pastijtjes to ice-cold Fernandes – everything was ready to give our guests an authentic taste of Suriname.
Our Impact Report highlights how we take responsibility for our footprint and connect deeply with society. From eco-friendly choices to inclusive, growth-focused programs for our colleagues, we strive to make a positive impact. Not just within ContactCare, but also by inspiring other organisations to do good.
Speaking of the customer journey…
The term ‘customer journey’ is everywhere these days, but truly learning from each other’s experiences through real conversation is still too rare. During Customer on Air, we embarked on that journey together to Suriname, gained valuable insights, and walked away inspired. It was a fantastic first edition, and we are already looking forward to the next one, which will feature a completely different theme on the customer journey. This has definitely left us wanting more, so buckle up and brace for impact!
